Im Oktober dieses Jahres jährte sich zum 20. Mal die Unterzeichnung des Pariser Friedensvertrages, der Kambodscha in eine neue, friedliche Zukunft führen sollte. Seit 20 Jahren herrscht in Kambodscha also in diesem Sinne offiziell Frieden. Doch was bedeutet das für das Land und wohin ist der Staat in Südostasien gekommen? Schliesslich ist Friede nicht einfach gleichbedeutend mit der Absenz von Krieg, wie es einst der Philosoph Baruch de Spinoza sagte. Friede sei vielmehr "eine Tugend, eine Geisteshaltung, eine Neigung zu Güte, Vertrauen, Gerechtigkeit". Our annual report is aimed to give you some insights on what we do and how we do it. Last year we didn't manage to publish a proper annual report due to a lack of time. Thus we want to catch up on this now with a double issue of our annual report, covering both years 2009 and 2010.

It’s the place where we put all the important and unimportant information – and not in a laptop. We want to keep this tradition alive. Therefore, we are about to produce our own blank travel notebook in summer 2011, which will be put to sale officialy through basmati.ch. And it's maybe you who defines what the book will look like!
